Is it safe to go for LASIK surgery? What are the side effects of LASIK?

Yes. LASIK surgery is safe because new technologies have reduced the risk and rate of complications. At the same time surgeon selection and meeting the LASIK selection criteria as a patient is an important factor. However, there are some side effects of LASIK like regression of power on long term basis.
Side effects of the Lasik are as followed:
-Night Vision problem
-Dry eyes
-Glare and Halos
-Corneal Ectasia or Corneal irregularity
-Corneal Flap dislocation and Flap complications
-Floaters
-Higher order aberration (compromised optical quality)
-DLK (Diffuse Lamellar Keratitis) inflammation
-Debris under corneal flap
