They help in reducing the ultra violet light thereby preventing the eye from the sunlight damage as well as reduce the glare
Give rest to your eye at regular intervals:
If you use computer for long duration, kindly take frequent breaks from your screen. Giving proper rest to your eye will reduce your eye strain (avoid headaches, eyestrain, and double vision). Follow 20:20:20 rule i.e. every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds to relax your eyes.
Wear protective gear on the eye:
While working in industrial situations or using power tools and when playing sports.
Diet with foods rich in Vit A, E Zinc or more green leafy vegetables helps to keep the eyes healthy.
